Following a virtual meeting attend by representatives

The goal of this cooperation between the countries is to share information about ransomware victims, security forces and security incident response and emergency centers (CERTs) protecting people’s privacy and rights, in order to try to disrupt the ecosystem that allows ransomware to be a profitable business for criminal groups and also to investigate and find those responsible for the attacks. The complementary efforts will try to improve response mechanisms to this type of attack and promote good security practices against ransomware, such as the use of strong passwords, multifactor authentication, use of information backups and software updates.
