I wrote a while ago about the topic of turning things around in three steps. It is a key skill if you start a business. Until recently, these three events came together:
Negative response to financing.
Negative ruling against real estate agency.
Influencer marketing does not work out as expected.
The good thing about the bad is that this type of event where the planets align against you is nothing new if you have been running your email data own business for a while. You don’t start crying about how unfair the world is, but you start thinking about how you are going to turn things around.
The issue of bank financing was easy
The “only” thing missing was a guarantee. We found it and got to work. Yesterday the positive response arrived. The thing is not signed most important metrics to evaluate the strategy but it looks very good. I have never had the situation where after a “yes” the thing does not go ahead so at the moment I am somewhat optimistic that the thing is resolved.
Yesterday I had a call with my German lawyer who is handling my case against the real estate agency. It turns out that I misinterpreted the ruling and that the matter is not lost yet. It is what they call in Germany a “step-by-step claim” so I have lost yeezys shoes the ruling of having to report the purchase price of the premises. The good thing is that I can appeal this part by going to the next court instance. The value of the information and this part of the trial is a much smaller part than the commission so the legal cost is very small. My lawyer is also convinced that the judge should never have accepted the case due to a formal error. Let’s see what happens… In any case we have gained 2-3 more months of time which I think is fantastic.
There was one more thing yesterday
I had a meeting with a student who will do an internship with me in Germany starting in the summer. His previous job was organizing Pokémon events. In his network of contacts are all the relevant German-speaking influencers with whom he still has contact.
